hello! and happy Monday!
today i'm excited to bring you some good old Americana print-spiration in partnership with Chaps -- think nautical details, faded denim, pops of red and stripes galore.
as always, the Chaps collection stayed true to their heritage of American style. every piece is classically casual, yet fresh, and very New England.
i can imagine myself living in this super-soft striped top all spring and summer long: walking on the beach, grabbing fried clams or fresh lobster from my favorite seaside clam shacks, and doing some sightseeing with my trusty pup by my side. maybe an ice cream pitstop thrown in? you know it. this New England gal approves!
Chaps came to Boston to shoot their 2016 Spring Campaign (keep scrolling for my favorites), and to celebrate the launch of their brand new Instagram and Facebook pages. launching a new collection AND two new social profiles is something to celebrate!
give them a follow on Instagram at @Chaps, and like them on Facebook here!
to properly celebrate, Chaps hosted a launch party at the Ritz Carlton, which i had the privilege of attending. it was an evening of Boston inspired hors d'oeuvres and cocktails, great people, great views of Boston Common, and must-have looks for spring.
i am wearing a version of what i wore to the event here. rather than a light wash jean, i opted to pair my striped Chaps top with the same navy jacket, plus dark jeans and a pair of fun leopard flats for a more evening-appropriate look.
i also wanted to share a few of my favorites from Chap's Spring 2016 campaign. i'm so excited they chose my home (Boston!) as the campaign's backdrop. here's the beautiful Beacon Hill: home of some of the most charming brownstones, adorable coffee shops and antique stores.
the spring collection stays true to the Chaps carefree, yet perfectly preppy style, with plenty of stripes, and paisley. i also spy peeks of gingham as well as a red and black bandana print
a closer look at the striped top i'm wearing. i especially love the faded blue and lace up detailing (very on trend). a girl can never have too many stripes in her closet --
Chaps had two artists there to live draw our outfits -- it was one of the coolest parts of the event, especially because i've never experienced that before!
here's the final product: an amazing illustration of me and the look i wore (!!!) by the very talented, and incredibly sweet Michelle Barron. you must check out more of her work here, and you should follow her on instagram here.
thanks for reading! xx
